Case Summary:

Not long ago, an Associate Director from Uganda received the good news that the USCIS had approved his EB-2 NIW (National Interest Waiver) petition. With extensive experience working in the field of health economics, our client also holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Outcomes Research and Pharmaceutical Policy. Amongst other things, these qualifications ensured his eligibility for the national interest waiver.

In order to prove to the USCIS that our client deserved to get one step closer to his green card, we gathered a wealth of information on his diverse achievements in the field. From his citation count to publication record (132 and 21 respectively at the time of filing), we listed it all. We also noted the 7 times he assessed the work of his peers which demonstrated his position as a leading expert in his field. To strengthen his case, we incorporated 6 recommendation letters signed by other influential members of the research community. These experts strongly advocated for the approval of our client’s EB-2 NIW petition by signing off statements such as these:

“His research has been beneficial to other countries in the world facing medicines and health workforce shortages, and to U.S.-based and other international organizations that work to address human resources for health challenges. I strongly recommend him and his research to the USCIS. It is my sincere hope that he is permitted to continue his necessary research in the U.S. unimpeded.”
“It is clear that [client’s] research offers significant benefits to healthcare providers and patients in developing countries looking to identify new, high-impact, and low-cost antipsychotic medications.”
We took a step further and proved to the USCIS that our client’s findings in health economics to promote access to medicines and ensure quality patient care is of great importance because it promotes universal access to cost-effective medicines and healthcare services for rural and underserved populations around the world.

The approval of this petition is yet another example of our firm’s excellent record of helping our clients secure I-140 approval. We thank our client for selecting us to represent his NIW case and we wish him a bright future ahead.
