I started working with Chen Immigration after being recommended by my aunt. At the time, I was considering both EB2-NIW and EB1A. Other law firms I consulted with were not very confident about my EB1A case, but Chen was willing to move forward confidently and even offered a refund policy, which gave me a strong sense of trust.

They also explained that my NIW case could likely proceed even without reference letters, which significantly reduced preparation time. Their fees were also more reasonable compared to several other firms I had consulted. Since I had already heard about Chen's strong reputation in the research community, I decided to proceed with them.

My NIW petition was filed with Premium Processing from the beginning, and it was approved in about 1 month and 10 days without any RFE. I had heard from others that some attorneys are hesitant to use Premium Processing because they believe it may increase the chance of RFE, but Chen's attitude was more along the lines of "Why not?" while still making it clear that the final decision was mine.

The preparation process did require a significant amount of work on my side because I had to organize my research background, publications, and accomplishments into their templates and formats. Honestly, that part was somewhat tedious, and I can understand why some people hesitate during this stage. However, looking back, I think it actually makes sense because no one understands your own research and strengths better than you do.

What impressed me most was how professionally they transformed that information into the final petition letter. The structure, presentation, and overall narrative felt extremely polished and strategic. It was clear that they had substantial experience understanding how to present a researcher's profile effectively for immigration petitions.

Communication was also generally very fast. Most questions were answered within about a day, and even when a complete answer was not immediately available, the team usually acknowledged the message quickly and followed up afterward.

The only minor frustration I experienced was related to address change questions near the end of the process, where some responses felt repetitive and less tailored. However, I assume this may have been due to the sudden increase in case volume after visa bulletin movement.

Since my NIW petition was approved smoothly and without RFE, I ultimately decided not to proceed with EB1A. However, the fact that Chen was initially willing to evaluate and pursue both NIW and EB1A gave me confidence in their judgment and strategy.
